Former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has pleaded guilty to drink-driving charges after she was involved in a auto crash past year.
Contostavlos has been disqualified from driving for 15 months and ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £1,185.
The former X Factor is also accused of risky driving over the alleged incident outside Southgate Tube station in North London.
Ms. Jayaratne then went on to tell the court room that the singer had told police during her interview at the station in September that she was “sleep-walking” or “sleep-driving” at the time.
She pleaded guilty to driving with 54 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 microgrammes. She has been signed up by an agent in Hollywood and is due to start an acting career there.
Her lawyer, Kirsty Brimelow, said the singer was remorseful about what happened: “She immediately co-operated with police”.
A charge of risky driving was dropped. Last week, she posted an inspirational quote on Instagram, reading: ‘Dear Past, Thank you for the lessons.
“She was bailed to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday 4 April”.
The singer broke down in tears when asked to state her address for the court after her lawyer had failed in bid to have it blocked.
Tulisa is yet to comment on the outcome, but she recently posted this hopeful message on Twitter.
