In spite of the competition, Periscope has been home to more than 100 million broadcasts in just the past nine months.
Previously, Periscope users could tweet links to their Twitter followers, but now, live streaming video will be integrated into users’ Twitter feed. They can then make it fullscreen and watch the whole broadcast without leaving the Twitter app, you don’t even need to be signed up to Periscope.
This should go a long way toward increasing views for streams and catch the attention of more Twitter users in general, who may just have not paid a lot of attention to Periscope in the first place.

Twitter is finally showing off how Periscope fits into its bigger video strategy. “See the world through someone else’s eyes - that’s been our mission since day one”, Periscope said in a blog post announcing the upgrade.
Users who have the Twitter app installed on their phones will have to separately downloaded Periscope from the App Store. He’s also been criticized for failing to commit to Twitter full time, choosing instead to split his days between it and payments company Square. “It’s both scary and awesome for me to think about the fact that my iOS Periscope code is now inside Twitter’s app as well”.
For instant gratification, Periscope videos will be auto-played within a tweet. Android and web users will experience the same function as soon as it becomes ready.
Twitter is using its subsidiary streaming service, Periscope, for a direct assault on your attention. Twitter is hence more willing to bet on the new platform being successful, and has hence paid heed to users’ calls for integration between the two applications. No Periscope app or account is needed to view.
Twitter also owns Vine, the video-looping service it bought in 2012.
