Two Orlando coffee shops to get “Gilmore Girls” makeover

October 03 23:30 2016

You can now drink your own cup of joe at Luke’s Diner!

These pop-up Luke’s Diners will run from 7 a.m. till 12 p.m. on October 5.

“Gilmore Girls” is getting in on the pop-up restaurant trend with the ideal tie-in: Free coffee at select shops nationwide, which will be transformed into Luke’s Diner pop-ups for the occasion. Pop Tarts and grumpy, flannel-wearing owners do not appear to be part of the deal. The shop is working to prep for a fun-filled morning expected to generate buzz for both “Gilmore Girls” and the Las Olas-based business.

Whether it be appearances from cast members or even a glass of Founder’s Day Punch, all the excitement will surely have fans saying, “coffee coffee coffee!”

Netflix will release four 90-minute episodes of “Gilmore Girlson November 25.

Gilmore Girls” fans now have the chance to drink coffee like a Gilmore, thanks to Netflix and their pop-up Luke’s event. This is plain black coffee, as is the Gilmore way, but Ground Central will be serving La Colombe, unlike the Folger’s at Luke’s. The two Los Angeles-area locations are in Studio City and Beverly Hills, so fingers crossed that cast members make a surprise appearance at one of those shops. It will only run at the respective cafes from 7am to noon so you have to be quick about it if you want your coffee on.

“We’re really excited about it”.
