With as much as 8 inches of snow on the ground Tuesday morning, several counties canceled schools in the Lower Peninsula Tuesday.
Strong northeasterly winds will also produce blowing snow especially in exposed areas due to gusts of 70 kilometres per hour. However, forecasters say areas south of that area should be on alert, as the storm may track further south than anticipated.
Monday’s high is expected to reach 79 degrees, the weather service said.
The Winter Weather ADVISORY remains in effect for all of southeast Wisconsin until 2 p.m.
