Current Hurricane Irma forecasts give South Florida reason for concern.

Sunday’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins will not be played in Miami on Sunday, as scheduled, due to Hurricane Irma.

“Luckily for us, we started Monday, so we’re ready to go”, Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler said.

They are also increasing the size of aircrafts flying from San Juan and South Florida so more people can leave.

The city will most likely order evacuation for Downtown Miami. For Thursday flights were costing as much as $1,260, and for Friday the going rate was around $573, according to Kayak numbers. “Especially in this day and age where social media can be so cruel, an airline isn’t going to take a chance on that”.

The Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were slated to kick off the season in Miami’s stadium, but the NFL decided to postpone the game.

There remains a wide margin of error for Irma’s late weekend path.

“I don’t think they’re gouging”, said George Hobica, publisher of travel site AirfareWatchdog.com.

As residents and visitors look to evacuate south Florida before Hurricane Irma blasts the area, multiple airlines are looking to make serious profit from travelers’ misfortune. Hurricane Matthew posed a potential problem last October, causing the team to close its facility the week leading up to the Titans game, though it ultimately made landfall farther up the coast. The revised schedule now means the Bucs will play three of their first four games at home.

On Wednesday, Irma slammed the Caribbean island of St. Martin.

Pam Bondi, Florida’s attorney general, said the state had received more than 1,500 calls on its price-gouging hotline in the last two days, mostly relating however to the prices of water, food and petrol.
