The real estate mogul did not appreciate Clinton knocking his ability to deal with a national campaign.

A separate Reuters/Ipsos survey that provided respondents with the option to choose from Clinton, Trump, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, has Clinton and Trump tied at 37 percentage points.

The U.S. television audience for Clinton’s acceptance speech was smaller than the viewership of Trump’s address a week earlier, according to ratings data released on Friday.

Donald Trump did not like Hillary Clinton’s speech Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention – and the mogul has been railing about it on Twitter since. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday in Philadelphia that Trump’s fight against “Washington insiders” was prone to turn off some Republicans. Private security experts – although not yet any USA government agencies – say they found clues that point to hacking groups whose targets track the strategic interests of Russia’s government. She accepted the duty in a powerful speech, in which she said, “When any barrier falls in America, it clears the way for everyone”.

“My primary mission as president will be to create more opportunity and more good jobs with rising wages, right here in the United States”, she said. They say those delegates are ignoring the fact Sanders lost the nomination to Clinton, in part, because he didn’t appeal strongly enough to African-American voters.

“It is with humility, determination and boundless confidence in America’s promise that I accept your nomination”, said Clinton. Trump’s national security stumbles in questioning US support for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies and urging Russian Federation to meddle in the race provides a general-election opening for Clinton and other Democrats to reach out to Republicans.

First lady Michelle Obama, in a celebrated speech, said, “What I admire most about Hillary is that she never buckles under pressure”. “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man you can trust with nuclear weapons”, she said. “My job titles only tell you what I’ve done. That’s why we are stronger together”.

Clinton said, “No, Donald, you don’t”. I will gladly lend you a copy”, before finishing, “You have sacrificed nothing.

To that, Kaine said Friday: “That’s not being sarcastic, that’s ignorant”.

Sean Spicer, chief strategist for the RNC, noted eruptions of boos inside the Democratic convention hall and omnipresence of Sanders fans, and said, “Clinton should really focus on getting her own party in order before she worries about our party”. Standing here as my mother’s daughter, and my daughter’s mother, I’m so happy this day has come.

Her speech capped a star-studded, thematically coherent and methodically organized convention that contrasted sharply with a shambolic Trump gathering in Cleveland that most leading Republicans shunned.

While the GOP brought us Ronald Reagan and his “Morning in America” optimism, this year’s conventions marked a role reversal of sorts for the parties, Traugott said.
