Vincent Kompany pleased with Manchester City display despite Chelsea defeat

Antonio Conte has admitted that he is wary of Tottenham’s chances of catching Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.

Eden Hazard declared “we are almost there” as Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte targeted six wins in the final eight games to clinch the Premier League title.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side showed great spirit to complete a terrific comeback against Swansea City but it’s hard to see Chelsea throwing it away.

Pep Guardiola will assess captain Vincent Kompany and midfielder Fabian Delph after the duo came in from the cold to start Manchester City’s 2-1 Premier League defeat to Chelsea.

The Spaniard said: “My feeling is during the season we made really good things”.

Conte missed the flashpoint and later hailed Guardiola as the best coach in the world during a post-match news conference.

The Belgian global said: “We have shown in the a year ago or two what we are capable of”.

“I’m working with the best management team in the world and the best players in the world as far as I’m concerned”, he added.
