Kevin Durant scored 39 points and Stephen Curry 34 to spark celebrations around Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Cleveland has now lost two of the three showdowns in this Finals trilogy.

Kevin Durant came to Golden State looking for a championship and found a band of brothers who, as it turned out, were exactly what he needed to finally capture that long-sought title. But instead of celebrating Golden State’s greatness, former players are poking holes in the Warriors’ historic achievements.

The Warriors took a 3-0 lead in the series as they set a record for National Basketball Association playoff winning streaks with 15 straight victories.

“I left everything on the floor every game, all five games”, he said.

“I just wanted to lay it all out there”.

In all five games, GSW forward was demolishing the Cavs averaging 35.2 points per game, 8.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.6 blocks.

But he said: “It’s a team sport. To play with these guys is wonderful”. All of this helped him earn the NBA Finals MVP award on the way to his first NBA championship. They silenced the critics who resented their formation, responding with almost flawless basketball as KD himself took home Finals MVP honors.

“You ask anybody in their walk of faith – it’s all about finding accountability partners and finding people that can encourage you in your walk”, he said.

Teams and franchises are going to be trying to figure out ways that they can put personnel together, the right group of guys together to be able to hopefully compete against this team”, James said.

“She’s seen me as a kid putting in work”.

James shook his head over injuries that kept the team from hitting full stride until just before the playoffs. “You have to tip your hat to Cleveland”, he added.

On his own team’s efforts, he added: “We got to the post-season as a 2-seed and we were able to punch our clock and reach the finals, that’s what you want as a ball-club”. Then it was Golden State’s time again, with Durant as the prized addition.

This time, James gave way to KD, who was the NBA Finals MVP 10 years after being picked second in the NBA draft behind Greg Oden. In the other three quarters, Cleveland held a four-point advantage.

So what kind of numbers would a Spurs-Cavaliers matchup have produced for the Finals?

Durant did indeed join a ready-made contender by teaming up with two-time reigning league MVP Stephen Curry on a team that won it all in 2015 and were runners-up past year after a season in which they had a record 73 wins in 82 games.
