Watch Donald Trump’s First Campaign Television Ad

January 04 06:39 2016

Donald Trump‘s first TV ad of the 2016 election is about as understated as Trump himself is on the campaign trail.

“That’s why he’s calling for a temporary shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until we figure out what’s going on”, the narrator states.

Donald Trump has gotten by on the free advertising given to him by all the TV networks, including MSNBC, which regularly air his stump speeches and rallies live, unedited, even when there’s nothing new in them. Otherwise, the ad offers little in the way of specifics: It promises that a President Trump “will quickly cut the head off of” the Islamic State terrorist group, which inspired Farook and Malik and is also known as ISIS.

The ad also reiterated the businessman-turned-politician’s ongoing calls to target illegal immigration by building a wall along the southern USA border that he said Mexico will pay for.

Presidential contender Donald Trump unveiled his long-awaited first campaign ad on Monday morning – a 30-second spot that is sure to infuriate many.

The ad, which was first reported by The Washington Post, came after Trump long held off running traditional television ads.

“We will make America great again!”

Despite that claim, Trump’s own campaign website still has only five policy positions.

The ad closes with footage from Trump saying, “We will make America great again!” “We have tremendous crowds, incredible support from all over the country and I am $35 million dollars under budget”, said Trump, in a statement released by his campaign. “But I don’t want to take any chances, and I nearly feel guilty not spending money”.

Trump is leading national polls by a wide margin, but is locked in a tight battle with Texas Sen.
