Watch President Obama’s hilarious chat with comedian Seinfeld

President Barack Obama and comedian Jerry Seinfeld compare cars and trade one-liners in a 19-minute episode of “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee“. “I thought: the coolest auto, American made, for the coolest guy ever to hold this office”, states Seinfeld.

In his show, Seinfeld makes informal conversations with different comedians.

“I fell in love with the work”, Seinfeld told him, “and the work was joyful and hard and interesting and that was my focus”.

When the star of the long-running sitcom looked offended, Obama shot again, asking “Are you still doing stand-up?”

Recent press conferences – as infrequent as they are – have shown the president to be detached, mostly bored with national and world affairs.

The other: “The Beast”, an armored Cadillac limo that’s the president’s normal ride.

The pair also talked about the drawbacks of fame versus anonymity, how to deal with hecklers, and Mr. Obama’s most embarrassing presidential moment – “This may be it”, the president quipped.

In the Obama episode, which was recorded December 7, Seinfeld brings a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe to the White House complex.

“Don’t leave the apple, though”, Obama says.

“I always wanted to be in a show about nothing, and here I am”, said the president, referring to Seinfeld’s famous TV series. For Seinfeld, being one of the world’s most famous entertainers has definitely paid off. “This is a childhood dream”, he says.

“Teddy Roosevelt would go up to Yellowstone Park for, like, a month”, Obama said.

“A pretty sizable percentage”, Obama answered, continuing what Comedy Central late-night host Larry Wilmore has dubbed Obama’s “Doesn’t Give a F•ck” year in office.
