Those thunderstorms also could produce severe weather, which can include hail and strong winds, this afternoon into tonight. All of central IN is IN at least a SLIGHT risk for severe storms. Hail, high winds, heavy rain and an isolated tornado are all possible with any of the severe storms. Showers and storms should form along the trailing cold front, moving through Alabama during the afternoon and evening. Storms already rolled in this morning, but the strongest storms are still possible around 5 p.m. The moderate threat for storms to become severe will be in Southeast Oklahoma.

It will not rain all day Friday or Saturday.

During Thursday night, the storms will drift farther east and may remain heavy and gusty from parts of southeastern OH, western NY, western Pennsylvania and northwestern West Virginia. Cooler, north winds will gust up to 30 miles per hour this afternoon, funneling in much more seasonal weather.

This won’t be a widespread event so many areas may not see rain or even severe storms. “Most of this rainfall is expected to runoff and will likely cause flash flooding concerns as well as river flooding”.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Ingham County until 3:00 p.m. and Livingston County until 3:30p.m.

Colder air moves in for Friday and the weekend with daily highs in the 50s and 60s.
