Dry conditions will now prevail over the next few days, with mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures. Temperatures this morning will start in the 60s and lower 70s and rebound with daytime highs in the lower to mid-90s.

Thursday: Partly sunny skies, 40-percent chance of showers and thundershowers, high of 82.

A break in the extreme heat will usher in the extended Fourth of July holiday weekend across Middle Tennessee. Lows in the upper 70s.
