What is Girri’s relationship with MM Khan murder accused: Kejriwal

BJP MP Maheish Girri on Monday continued his hunger strike outside Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.

Accusing Kejriwal of resorting to “shoot and scoot” tactic to attack political rivals, Swamy asked him to either show documents to corroborate his charges against Girri or apologise.

Kejriwal has been saying that Girri and New Delhi Municipal Council Vice Chairman Karan Singh Tanwar, who also belongs to the BJP, played a suspicious role in the murder of Khan.

Subramanian said that in 1991 when he was the Union Law Minister, he “dismissed” four state governments and the decision of the then central government was upheld by the Supreme Court and supported in Parliament.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal reiterated his demand for Girri’s arrest.

Kejriwal did not accept the challenge following which Giri, accompanied by his party supporters, reached the Chief Minister’s flagstaff Road residence and sat on hunger strike.

“The police should arrest him (Maheish Girri) and should interrogate him as to what relations he had with the prime accused”. Police have arrested Ramesh Kakkar, the hotel’s owner, alongwith six others in connection with the murder case.

AAP has also stepped up attack against Girri after he wrote a letter to the LG by attaching a letter by Khan’s alleged killer, R Kakkar.

“My family is satisfied with the ongoing investigation in the case”. AAP has alleged Tanwar’s involvement in the case as well. A fuming BJP stepped up its attack on the AAP leader.

Delhi Police has reportedly said they have not come across any evidence against Girri and Kanwar in the murder probe.

“My father died for the government and when this issue is politicised, we feel hurt”, she added. “Question me if needed, arrest me if required”, Girri said on Monday.

“Mahesh Girri should sit on hunger strike for 20 days”.

He said the party wants Girri to have at least water, a plea that the MP turned down.

Swamy, in a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee, also said that he has information to suggest that the Jung was playing a “mischievous role” in “abetting” Kejriwal at the behest of Congress to embarrass BJP.

He accused Jung of seeking guidance from Ahmed Patel. “All allegations levelled against Girri by him are completely wrong”, Swamy told party workers here.
