Members of President Donald Trump’s administration will release their personal financial disclosures on Friday afternoon, a public disclosure that is mandated by law.
Let’s not forget, Flynn, in an arrangement with the Justice Dept., retroactively registered as a foreign agent because he had been working for the Turkish government – while advising Trump.
Nunes has been criticized for briefing Trump on classified information he received from White House officials before he reported the findings to his own committee.
Last week, the White House press secretary would not say there are no other foreign agents under the employ of the Trump administration. The truth is buried somewhere in classified material that is illegal to disclose.
Flynn, of course, is the man Trump fired. “How can he secretly be in meetings with so-called “sources” at the White House?”
WELNA: Well, today’s story is Mike Flynn. A lawyer for the retired general had said Flynn would do so if he could be promised immunity from prosecution. ‘I think there’s nobody better than me right now to be doing it’. The materials that he shared with the White House, it turned out, were produced for him, at least in part, by – yes – the White House.
He also suggested the House Intelligence Committee look into the former secretary of state’s work for President Barack Obama as part of his failed “reset” of relations with Moscow, as well as former President Bill Clinton’s paid speeches in Russian Federation.
In Washington early last week, White House officials privately encouraged reporters to look into whether information about Trump associates had been improperly revealed in the intelligence gathering process.
Farkas left the Pentagon in late 2015, and was not there during the 2016 campaign, or during the transition to the Trump Administration.
And Farkas herself has denied she offered anything but advice in the effort to keep a record of alleged interference.
The New York Times and The Washington Post reported Thursday on the identities of Nunes’ sources.
“That’s why you have the leaking”, Farkas said in the March 2 interview on MSNBC.
“So, first, I recently confirmed that on numerous occasions the intelligence community incidentally collected information about USA citizens involved in the Trump transition”, Nunes said.
“The Chair of the House Intelligence has a serious responsibility to the Congress and to the country”, Pelosi said in a statement to CNN Monday. Since his disclosure, Nunes has refused to identify his sources, which the New York Times named as two White House officials, and he has canceled all hearings of the committee, bringing the House investigation to a halt. Nunes has disputed that but still says he found the reports “troubling”. Schiff called for the full contents of the documents to be shared with all members of both the House and Senate Intelligence Committees. He said the collections were not related to the Russian Federation investigation.
Responding to questions about Nunes, Spicer attacked the media for not covering what he said was growing evidence to support Trump’s wiretapping claims. A former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent said after the hearing that Russian Federation had also used social media campaigns to smear other GOP presidential candidates, including former Gov. Jeb Bush and South Carolina Sen. According to Politifact, some investors in the company had relationships with former President Bill Clinton and donated to the Clinton Foundation.
