Who Went Home on ‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Week 5? Recap!

February 01 21:52 2016

In this week’s recap, we discuss whether or not Amanda really sleeps in full makeup, why we can’t fault Jubilee for being frustrated – even if that led to her exit – and how Emily made a rookie move crying about Olivia, who may or may not get sent home at the top of next week’s episode. But Olivia couldn’t be more upset. And surprise, surprise – it just so happens to be Mexico’s Fashion Week!

Since this season clearly revolves around “Oh-livia”, her comment to Amanda must be addressed first. Olivia’s annoying behavior is still a hot topic, and it could put a damper on Ben’s love connection with his other ten girlfriends!

The After Party: Jubilee, like many a YouTube commenter, really wanted to be first, but once again Olivia beat her to the punch to talk to Ben. Lauren H., who is the most Midwestern woman ever, tells Ben, “My last boyfriend was seeing all these other girls while we were dating!”

Later, Amanda opens up to Ben about her past divorce and what it’s like to be a single mother, because, in case you hadn’t heard, a major (only?) portion of Amanda’s identity on this show comes from the fact that she is, in fact, a single mother. That’s what makes it so much fun to watch, Jubilee! Ben tried to kindly take her hand, and she rejected him in front of everyone.

High fashion takes center stage, as Ben takes Lauren H. on their first one-on-one date to visit the famed Mexican fashion designer Pineda Covalin. It’s an experience he will never forget and he appreciates her good attitude throughout the entire thing.

Lauren H.is built like a model, but she does not have the demeanor of a model. Before he started the rose ceremony, he pulled Olivia aside to have a conversation. They are happy that Ben’s taking this journey seriously, but scared that they could be the next on the chopping block. What makes Olivia is the better villain?

Needless to say, Amanda doesn’t appreciate it – and she doesn’t let Olivia get away with it. With Lauren B at her side, Amanda tells Olivia that she’s confused and thinks that it’s common sense not to compare anyone to “Teen Mom“.

Olivia then struggled to clarify her insensitive her word vomit, but it proved to be unsuccessful and unbelievable.

Surprisingly, Olivia apologizes to Amanda and tears up.

Jubilee is an incredible and complex woman and wears her heart on her sleeve. She then dumped all of her insecurities on him and he said he definitely remembers her and he feels like they had something.

Was it smart for Emily to tell Ben the truth about Olivia? I think when you go on this show; you must go to bed with makeup on just in case! Jojo told Ben that she loves hanging out with him and she asked him to keep her in the loop so she’s not blindsided by something, and they kissed. Everyone is piled into just a few rooms and forced to share beds (Olivia and Jubilee together is flawless – I bet Jubes is like “face the other direction, your breath is terrible”). Ben started asking her about how things were in the house and Olivia said they were fine. Amanda admits that she was “targeted” by Olivia, and Jennifer reveals that Olivia doesn’t “click” with everyone.

While much of “The Bachelor” thus far has been centered on whether or not Lace has consumed too much Pinot Grigot, Monday night’s episode takes a turn for the serious where young mom Amanda’s standing with Ben is concerned.
