What fuels a 21-time Grand Slam champion?
Here it is as documented in all it’s glory through the eyes of Serena’s personal Snapchat account.
The food is expensive but apparently it looks so delicious that the tennis star couldn’t help but try it. Williams’ 3-year-old Yorkie Chip travels with her but she doesn’t have his food with her, so she ponied up 15 euro ($17 U.S. dollars) for his lunch on Wednesday.
The world number one was well below her best in the early stages of Thursday’s match in Rome and appeared likely to be punished as McHale impressed with a series of impressive strokes off each wing. Perhaps, she was a little too intrigued.
The tennis legend – who won Wimbledon previous year for the SIXTH time – made a Snapchat video documenting what happened when she chose to sample her super cute dog Chip’s dinner, and it’s not pretty in the slightest.
“So now I feel really sick”, she added, noting illness took hold mere hours after her adventurous dog gruel gulp. “I guess tomorrow when I step on the court I’m gonna look svelte”.
Some things are better left to the dogs.
“Yesterday he had the beef with chicken and vegetables”. For the American it was a positive test: ‘I feel good, because I feel like she hits a lot of balls back.
“It has like fresh greens and boiled chicken and beef that was seared like tenderly”. It was just perfection. I don’t know. It’s just – it looks like food. The story goes, Serena ordered some pricey salmon and rice off the hotel’s pet menu.
Here’s the salivating set-of-choices she was ogling – and her sidekick Chip. Williams showed the menu in the video and at the bottom she scrawled “If you are human, do not eat this”. ‘That’s the salmon and rice – it’s kind of mixed together, right?
