Would It Make A Difference If The FBI Were To Investigate Kavanaugh?

USA president Donald Trump has acknowledged that past accusations of sexual misconduct against him have influenced the way he views similar allegations against other men, including his Supreme Court nominee.

He made the comments at a news conference in NY a day before Judge Brett Kavanaugh was set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee amid multiple accusations of sexual misconduct. Kavanaugh, testifying second, forcefully denied the accusation. Joe Manchin said he supported Flake’s call to push off a full Senate vote until the FBI investigates Ford’s allegation.

The review is meant to look into allegations by Christine Blasey Ford, who says Judge Kavanaugh groped her and attempted to disrobe her at a high school party in 1982.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, had opposed involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation but said Friday he would take up Flake’s case. In Kavanaugh’s testimony, he also said he was “100%” sure he did not sexual assault anyone.

The Senate Judiciary Committee, comprising 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats, is scheduled to vote Friday on whether to recommend Kavanaugh’s nomination to the full chamber for confirmation. But what exactly the FBI will investigate still remains a mystery. “She gave good testimony”.
