Yami’s film beats Katrina’s love story at box office

On the other hand, Fitoor despite featuring Katrina Kaif, Tabu and Aditya Roy Kapur, has opened on a sluggish note with an occupancy rate of 25-30%. Given the kind of films they are, both will have to make at least a jump of 50% in the weekend, to witness a steady opening weekend. The film had a low collection on day one, it collected Rs 3.50 crore net approx. If Fitoor did good only in metropolitan cities and mulitplexes, Sanam Re did good everywhere.

Despite having A-list actors including Katrina and Aditya Roy Kapoor, director Abhishek Kapoor’s film earned a total of Rs. 3.61 cr on the first day, whereas Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam starrer Sanam Re collected Rs. 5.04 cr. Sanam Re has netted around Rs 5.04 crore on its opening day.

Sanam Re is a story about a man who is confused with his love life and finally finds solace in his birthplace with his childhood love.

Sanam Re’s lead pair Pulkit and Yami had become the talk of the town due to their affair and this news indeed attracted the audience to walk in the theaters. While he finds his love in Akansha (Urvashi Rautela), will Akash (Pulkit Samrat) forget the childhood love Shruti (Yami Gautam), he left behind? The film has offered the viewers a great cinematography delight, melodious music and has some handsome locations.
