Your next iPad Air could be a downsized iPad Pro

Instead, Apple will introduce a 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Similar to the iPad Pro, the iPad Air 3 is coming out with a smart connector port, as well as the four-speaker setup, and both of these features were first seen in the iPad Pro series of devices. However, its display screen will be smaller, from 12.9-inches to 9.7-inches. If this event can produce a new product that the market deems will be a success, shares of Apple could very well begin an upward trend leading into the eventual announcement of the company’s highly anticipated iPhone 7 launch later this year.

The next-generation 9.7-inch iPad will not be called the iPad Air 3, according to 9to5Mac.

That means that everything about it – save for, perhaps, the A9X chip that was pulled into the device (and I suspect that Apple just used the iPad Air 3 motherboard for the iPad Pro) – was designed around a spring 2015 launch.

Apple Pencil has been one of the most interesting new features of iPad Pro, even if the company was mostly following in the footsteps of rivals. Similarly, the current iPad mini would become an Air variant, further streamlining a sometimes confusing tablet hierarchy. Apple could also justify this by saying only Pro models have stylus support for Apple Pencil, which Apple hopes will appeal to creative professionals.

According to our colleagues, the tablet would be presented at a keynote on 15 March (iPhone 5se should be part) and marketed in stride.

Should the rumors be proven true, then fans can expect that there will be no new MacBook Pro next month. Rumors are saying that the new Pro might be accompanied by an Air 3 that’s less impressive than previously expected. The company was originally expected to launch the iPad Air 3, but people have told 9to5Mac a different story.

The same report reiterated too that mass production of the new 4-inch iPhone is already underway and there was no mention of manufacturing glitch that could be the cause of the slight delay. Also some other reports claim that new features such as a front-facing video camera will be added.
